Terms of Service

These terms are between you and ShommyX Technologies Inc., registered in the Province of Alberta, Canada, with its principal office in Calgary, AB, Canada. Using ShommyX Meet means you accept them.

You need a valid email address to host meetings. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself. Guests can join a meeting without an account.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13.

Meetings on the free plan stop at 90 minutes. The paid plan raises that and unlocks HD video for every meeting you host — including ones you scheduled before you paid. Guests never pay; the plan belongs to the person hosting.

• It renews automatically when you pay by card, on the same date each month, until you cancel. What you will be charged and when is shown in the Account panel.
• Cancel any time, from that same panel. You keep everything you have paid for until the end of the period you have already bought — cancelling early does not cut you off and does not lose you time.
• If you paid by transfer or USSD there is no card to charge, so nothing renews. We email you before it ends.
• Prices are shown before you pay, in naira or in US dollars. You choose which. If we change them, it takes effect at your next renewal and we will tell you first.

If something on our side stopped you using what you paid for, email [email protected] and we will put it right, by refund where that is the fair answer. We do not otherwise refund part-used months. Payments made in error, or a renewal you had cancelled and were charged for anyway, are refunded in full.

Do not use ShommyX Meet to:

• break the law, or help anyone else to
• harass, threaten or impersonate people
• record or broadcast people who have not agreed to it, where the law where you are requires their consent
• share material you have no right to share
• attack the service, probe it, or try to reach meetings you were not invited to
• resell it as if it were your own product

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where we can, we will tell you why.

A host controls their own meeting: who is admitted, who is removed, who can share, and when it ends. If you host, that responsibility is yours — including telling your participants anything the law where you are requires them to be told.

We work to keep the service running and will tell you when something is broken. We do not promise it will never be unavailable — it depends on networks and providers we do not control, and on your own connection.

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

You can stop using ShommyX Meet whenever you like and delete your account from the Account panel — see how to delete your account. We may end this agreement if you break these terms, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any period you have paid for and not used.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away rights your local law gives you.
